Texas division is currently seeking applicants to perform various manual and mechanical bindery duties.  The specific duties and responsibilities are the following:

-Uniformly and sequentially jog signatures and place them, in the proper orientation, into pockets/hoppers for gather and stitching,binding, mailing, trimming or folding.

-Perform duties assigned by the machine operator or supervisor.

-Palletize,sack or box finished materials in accordance to customer specifications.

-Be familiar with quality standards. Visually inspect and pull substandard forms/books prior to loading.  Regularly inspect inkjetting to insure print quality.

-Able to blend, twist, push, pull. and lift 10-50lbs during a 12-hour shift.  Perform other related duties and work overtime/weekends as requested by Bindery manager of shift supervisor.

Trend Offset Printing is looking for an Industrial Electrician that can provide proper diagnosis and repair of complex technical electrical problems on heat-set web printing presses, multipocket saddle stitch and perfect binder equipment. This includes AC and DC equipment, PLCs, heating and cooling equipment, motors, starters and control devices (photo eyes counters, etc.)

Qualified candidates will have three plus years working in an industrial manufacturing facility. Trend Offset Printing is a commercial printer of catalogs and magazines that operates 24/7. Previous printing experience a plus.

Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on printing and binding equipment for a 24/7 commercial printing company.  Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, water and lubrication systems.  Will assist to design, fabricate and install machine guards, shields, steps, and catwalks.  Will also assist with equipment breakdowns and rebuilds.  Skilled using shop equipment such as drill press, milling machine, lathe, grinder and assorted hand tools.

Trend Texas is a web heat-set printer (3 M600 presses, 1 M2000 press and a cold-set V-30 press) with a full service bindery (6 saddle stitchers and 2 perfect binders.

Trend Offset Printing is seeking a Mueller Saddle Stitcher/Perfect Binder Operator for a full-time position.  Qualified applicants will be able to perform the following:

--Make basic settings and adjustments to the Stitcher or Perfect Binder. Operate and maintain inkjet mailing system. Operate and maintain knife trimmer, 5 knife, and 3 knife trimmers and counter stacker. Perform minor Stitcher head maintenance.

--Work in safe and conscientious manner, observe and correct safety hazards before they happen.

--Evaluate and make decisions concerning quality and productivity.

--Complete production records accurately and daily Q/A run samples (time sheets, job jackets, load flags, etc.)

--Supervise and train general workers working on equipment that they are operating.

--Understand U.S. postal regulations concerning 3rd and 2nd class mail

--Must be able to repeatedly lift required materials and tolerate warm working conditions.

--Must be able to adapt to different binding machines and inkjet systems in a short period of time.

--Good working knowledge of stitchers and binding operations and set-up practices.

--Able to read, write and comprehend written instructions and basic arithmetic functions.
