Font Usage Guidelines

Composite fonts (also known as CID or "Identity-H" fonts) have been known to have problems from time to time. It is best to avoid them. If you accept files which contain composite fonts, or export PDFs from InDesign CS, which converts all fonts to the composite format (except InDesign CS2, which is OK), there is a risk that the fonts will not image correctly.
