Rupert Murdoch said that “Big will not beat small anymore. It will be the fast beating the slow”. Companies that invest in new technology are the leaders that help shape our industry and Trend is doing just that by being one of the first printing companies in the United States to implement digital inkjet web technology.

Canon Solutions America has developed new digital press technology that is capable of printing on a large selection of normal offset printing stocks. Printing companies using competing technology are forced to pay steep premiums for paper manufactured specifically for inkjet printing. Trend’s investment in the Canon Océ ImageStream 2400 means that extra cost won’t be passed on to the customer.

The key to digital printing technology is that every single printed piece can be unique and personalized to the recipient. You can now deliver more relevant content to your target audience with the goal of triggering a higher response rate compared to a static printed piece.

To display this important new technology, Trend designed a modern digital print studio inside the new Digital Marketing Solutions Center facility, where customers can easily view and gain an understanding of how our digital offerings can help gain new business and increase sales.

At the heart of this building is our crown jewel, the Canon Océ ImageStream 2400 roll-to-roll inkjet press. Printed rolls are loaded onto our new MBO digital finishing line and converted into finished products such as direct mail advertising personalized to the recipient.

To compliment the ImageStream, Trend installed two new cut-sheet digital presses, the Xerox iGen5 and Ricoh C9110. Printed cut-sheets are converted into finished product at the MBO finishing line via a cut-sheet folder where many of the same direct mail formats can be achieved.

To celebrate this technology unveiling and grand opening, Trend is offering 50 Variable Data Print Kits to publisher attendees of the MAGGIES. Please complete the form below to request your kit.
